Study Trip Bavaria Deutschland

To aid the progression of my Wey and Arun canal project, I visited a historic town in Southern Germany. The town posessed a canal fed from the river Lech (a tributary of the danube) running in between the buildings and homes.

I am particularly interested in incorporating physical recreation into canal systems.

This town had a stationary wave, where water had fallen down a weir and then made contact with a log underwater which in turn caused an almost permanent wave.

It was possible to surf on the wave.
