Website Design Suitability and Legibility
In considering the design of my website to store and show my work I have been exploring a variety of web sites for design inspiration, to see what works and what doesnt.

This is a promotional website for The Watchmen movie, it is fantastic in some respects as it is interactive, dramatic and graphically very advanced. However it is only interactive in a linear fashion and loading times are (relatively) long.

This is a great interactive website, it is aimed at kids and used for marketing cheesestrings (a snack food).
The layout is very clear and playful, however loading times again are quite long, however the simple and playful graphics, make navigating it seem easier.
These two examples are not landscape related, however they are inspiring insofar as website design and layout are concerned, and give clues as to what works and why.

Website Progression
After much deliberation I have composed a main menu page and a sub-menu page (for my portfolio) as a website.
I have set up a moonfruit site after discovering how to link files in flash. This allows the display size to be signifcantly larger and therefore easier to read.
I chose a minimalist template and deleted the pre-set layout as I found it quite dull, I created my own backgrounds.
The address is http://www.mattellins.moonfruit.com/ although nothing is on the site yet.
These images give a flavour of the site.
