Fall Landscaping Calls for Color Plant These Trees Shrubs Now!
Japanese Red Maple
I found an article which highlights a number of these colorful options and has some good insights on how to increase the amount of color you get out of your landscape design.
Chanticleer Pear
Mass shrubbery. Dont just plant one or two color producing shrubs, plant nine or ten! With shrubs, the more the merrier and certain shrubs produce berries that provide vibrant colors and texture within the landscape design. Be sure the majority planted are females which produce the berries and be sure to include one male for reproductive purposes.
Flowering Dogwood
Also, think about the texture of the different trees and shrubs when standing at a distance from them. Notice how golden leaves will stand out against red as well as the green from Evergreen Trees or Douglas Firs. By staggering your planting, you will create depth and texture that really gives it a pop. By layering the trees from front to back and side to side, you will give your garden the illusion that it is larger than it actually is.
